It depends... if you just gonna swap engines and put the carb back on the newer engine... then no, it's not gonna be bad....
BUT... if your wanting to keep the fuel injection... then you will need to swap out the complete wiring harness and computer... and seeing how all the guages hook up different, you'll need to swap out the dashboard as well... which if the interior color is different.. then you'll be swapping that out too.... Ask me how I know this.... edit.. After thinking about it.. you might be able to get by without changing dashes... but you'd have to run the harness as a stand alone system.. are you wanting to leave it injected? if so you will need the wiring harness computer fuel pumps and pretty much everything off the injected motor
now if you are wanting to swap it to a carbed motor then you SHOULD be able to just swap intakes just make sure you have a provision in the newer model block for the manual fuel pump unless you want to go to an electric pump |

it is a bolt in. but I would agree with the others about EFI.
You won't believe the power/fuel economy going from a smogged 86 300 6 to a 94 EFI.. IMHO I would use the EFI exhaust manifolds and get yourself a 4 barrel intake and carb for the new 6. |
