On the highway flat road I have gotten a little over 20 in my EX (no trailer).I'd like to see what the 7.3 mpg would be in a lighter truck.Would like to build a 96 Bronco with 7.3 and 5spd.
I had a 1988 EB Bronco with 31/10.5/15 Michelins, and I pulled the 5.8 EFI C6 and put a rebuilt 6.9 diesel and C6 into it. I changed to 3.00 gears(had an upgraded rear up to a 9") it got a consistent 20mpg highway/city, empty/loaded The 5.8 was gutless too.it could barely pull 15mpg highway empty.
I always wanted an overdrive trans in that Bronco.

a 7.3PSD should make the Bronco scat!
The diesel engine actually made the truck feel more stable, or maybe it was just better balanced with the diesel weight there

I was always fun to drive because everybody would take a second look
