Default 1979 Ford 1ton 4x4 7.3PSD Texas truck in Ontario

this isn't my truck but I know the owner/builder personally. only the best pieces in it. not a hack job. This guy knows more about my collection of old Fords than I do. 73-79 Fords are his life!
this is a Ground up Resto. Very/very nice. I can take more pics if anybody is serious. I didn't realize he was going to sell this truck, found it on local kijiji free ad site.
he has a bigger truck for offroad use, this is the showtruck

Was a 155" F250 extended cab / long bed frame shortened 30" to 125". I removed the 3" stepped section between the cab and the truck bed which also allowed me to run the factory block and a add-a-leaf on the stock rear springs. Eventually I'm going to replace this set-up with a 6" lift-spring pack which should allow me to remove the block entirely. I found some more construction pics that I'll upload soon to my Supermotors album.

I shortened a 155 to a 139 to build my 79 and I used my 6" skyjacker rears but removed the factory block. gave it aprox 4" of lift over stock.
Flexes much nicer than stock w/add a leaf too.

I used a set of nice highboy front w/2" add a leaf in the front and it sits pretty level. but there is a 5.9 cummins up there too

cheers to custom Fords dare to be different

Old trucks are making a big wave in the scene right now. Maybe to show how different the old trucks are from what we now have in the modern car industry. We will be happier if you can post more pictures here even if it is not up for sale anymore. We just love to appreciate real trucks. Tonneau Cover
